Krista is the owner and primary Certified Professional Midwife at Miracle Midwifery. She completed her didactic degree work at Midwives College of Utah and her clinical experience in California and Utah. Krista has been dedicated to serving families in birth for more than 17 years. As a midwife, she believes we all have an instinctual and empathic connection to one another and it is through this connection that families build relationships to support each other in pregnancy, birth and motherhood.
Krista is proud to be the mother of 5 (between the ages of 11 and 31), grandmother to 4 boys and Stage IV Cancer Survivor. Before attending midwifery college, she was a doula and childbirth educator. She has written a full training manual for postpartum doulas and commonly mentors doulas and midwives in areas of breech birth, business start-up, marketing and business development. She also maintains ongoing certification in Adult CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation. Krista is an advocate for change in the birth and postpartum world and a partner to many. And yes, her last name really is Miracle.
"There are hardly words I can use to describe how grateful I am to Krista. She has that "true midwife heart", a desire to serve a pregnant/birthing mom in whatever capacity is needed, to the absolute best of her ability. I connected with her immediately early on in my pregnancy, and her constant assurance that if I needed anything at all, that she was just a phone call away, helped during a difficult time. After a very bumpy road, she was still there for me towards the end when I reached out in a desperate situation, in a great need of help. No questions asked, she gave it her all, and her reassuring presence helped me have the smoothest birth I've had yet! Thank you Krista for being exactly who you are"
